I do think district 13 does exsist. I think there are people there making aliving and people haven't found out about it because no one thinks it exsists to they haven't taken time bothering on checking on it. I'm not susre if i think they have nuclear weapons but i do think they have something and i think they will help all the other disttics to rebell against the Caoitol

Then why havn't they shown any signs of existance or having nuclear weapons? Why havn't they tried to help the districts in any way for the past several years?

I think they are scared to make the first move. Like what if they don't even know about all the things that are happening lately. What if nothing happened and they just came out of hidding and tried doing something? Then the Capitol would know about them and they would all be dead. I think someone needs to find them first and tell them whats goin on then something wil happen

Yes. They put the electric on the fence 24 hours a day now. He will have to work more hours in the mines. Katniss will also continue to give them food and money or Katniss's mother will now that Katniss is gone for the Quarter Quell.

well now that the fence is on no one will be able to get by without getting hurt. unless her risks getting hurt like Katniss did. but i have a feeling he will still try and sneak out. if he doesn't how else would he get his food and provide for his family. hazelle is now working for haymitch but now he is gone so who is going to pay her?

Monday Blog

Summary: An uprising in Distict 8 has occured. Mod scenes had broke out, the square's packed with screaming people, their faces hidden with rags and homemade masks, throwing bricks. Buildings burning. Peacekeepers shoot into the crowd, killing random people. When Gale and Katniss meet at their Sunday meetings and Katniss tells Gale about the uprising Gale is estatic. He thinks this is it, that all the districts should have an uprising and something should finally be done to the Capitol. He wants to go fight with the other districts and put a stop to the comtrolling government. When Katniss told Gale her idea about running away he was all for it and they talked about how they would survive but as soon as Katniss told him about the uprising he changed his mind imediatley and he doesn't want to go anymore. Katniss and Gale get into an arguement and Gale is gone, leaving Katniss alone at the "house". Since the talk with Gale wasn't how Katniss planned she ran to Peeta to ask him if he would run away with her and their families. Peeta is down for it as long as it's ok with Haymitch. All of a sudden Katniss and Peeta hear loud noises, Peeta thinks it may be bad and they head for the square. The crowd is to thick to see right away but when Peeta steps on a crate against the wall of the sweetshop he offers Katniss a hand on up but when she is half way up Peeta tells Katniss to get down, get out of here, go home. But Katniss doesn't listen and she pushed her way through the crown only to find Gale in the center of the square with his wrists bound to a wooden post. The wild turkey he shot earlier hangs above him, the nail driven through the turkeys neck. He slumps unconscious on his knees, help up only by the ropes at his wrists. His back is a raw, bloody slab of meat.

Important Quotes:
"What about the other families, Katniss? The ones who can't run away? Don't you see? It can't be about just saving us anymore. Not if the rebellion's begun."
I find this quote important by Gale because it shows how Gale really feels and how he really cares. He would do anything to save Katniss and her family, but now that all the fighting has begun he thinks he needs to be a man and stick up for his district. The government is so contolling and Gale wants to put a stop to it. It shows his drive and determination to do something about the Capitol.

"I don't know. I don't think i cry out or thrash around or anything. I just come to, paralyzed with terror."
I find this quote important by Peeta because it shows how terrified Peeta is still of the Games. He is still so terrified with terror and his life that he can't sleep at night. He is home safe and sound or with Katniss at night and he is still terrified. The Games had tortured Peeta before but now that he is safe and home it is torturing Peeta even more.

Themes: When Katniss and Peeta were in Thresh's and Rue's district and when Katniss gave her speech and the old man had his 3 middle fingers, touched his lips and put his hands in the air. After he did it, the whole crowd did the exact same thing representing Rue and what Katniss did when she found out Rue was dead.

Predictions:
1. Katniss will save Gale from being tortured.
2. Peeta will change his mind about running away with Katniss and will want to stay back and fight.
3. Haymitch will show up and save both Katniss and Gale from the square.

Questions:
1. Will someone put a stop to this controlling government? They can just get away with killing innocent people and whipping Gale to raw meat? And everyone just sits back and watches?
2. What will happen to Gale now? Now that the Capitol knows he sneaks out and hunts will they always be watching him? And if so how will he get food?
3. Will all the districts come together and take the Capitol down?

I find this poem important because it's about love and this is what this story is about. Katniss is in between two amazing guys and she doesn't know what to do about it. Sometimes she feels more for the other but doesn't know what to do. This poem reminds me of Gale and Katniss though. The reason it reminds me about them because they have been there for one another for everything and deep down they love each other and they always have. When Katniss was gone in the Hunger Games she always thought about Gale and Gale was in the back of her mind. She was always worrying if he was ok and how he was doing. I think that Katniss has always had feelings for Gale but just doesn't know how to say it. And now that Katniss and Peeta have to be "in love" she's never going to be able to tell Gale how she really feels.

Friday Blog

Summary: Gale kisses Katniss. He just grabs her face and kisses her. Katniss doesn't know what to do about it because she was caught off guard but now she is falling for Gale. But Katniss can't think about her feelings she has to think about what to do about President Snow and how to make things right. On the way to District 11, the train has a break down and it throws off Effie's schedule and she complains about it. There is so much going on with Katniss that she just freaks out on Effie and storms off outside of the train. Peeta comes and talks to Katniss outside, Katniss wants to tell Peeta so bad about President Snow but she remembered what Haymitch told her not to tell anymore, so she doesn't. But Peeta and Katniss apologize, clearing the air and agree on working on being friends. To show respect and love for Rue and Thresh, Peeta and Katniss deliver their own individual speeches to their families, which they are not supposed to do. The audience then responds wtih signs of thanks which cause the Peacekeepers to get to work and put some people to their death. After the Harvest Festival Katniss escapes to the woods to hopefully meet Gale. A short while later Gale shows up. Katniss can tell that Gale feels betrayed by her engagement to Peeta. Katniss starts to spill out all of her feelings and ideas about everything thats going on. She explains to Gale her idea about running away with all the people they love to escape from all the events and the people that are controlling their lives. In their talk Gale tells Katniss that he loves her.

Important Quotes:
"No. But for me, it's better to wake up with a paint brush than a knife in my hand."
I thought this quote was important because it shows that the people who came back from the Hunger Games still have bad thoughts about the Hunger Games. They are still scared for their lifes and think something bad is going to happen to them even though they are home and safe.

"A pair of Peacekeepers dragging the old man who whistled to the top of the steps. Forcing him to his knees before the crowd. And putting a bullet through his head."
I thought this quote was important because this quote shows how crazy the Capitol is and how controlling they are over people. None of these people can just live the way they want to. They always have to be worrying about what is going on and what is going to happen to them or if they will get picked for the next Hunger Games. I think that something needs to be done about this and someone needs to put a stop to the controlling government.

Themes: Mockingjay Pin. I also think Prim would be a good one. Whenever Katniss sees Prim she thinks and has thoughts about Rue. She can't help it but everytime she takes a look at Prim, Rue is in the back of her mind.

Predictions:
1. Now that Gale told Katniss he loves her, Katniss is going to be in a tough situation.
2. Katniss will fall in love with Gale and districts will rebell and President Snow will be back.
3. Since Katniss and Peeta individually visisted the families of Rue and Thresh they will get punished for it.

Questions:
1. Will Gale and Katniss actually run away and take their loved ones with them?
2. Will President Snow punish both Katniss and Peeta for what they did? Or will they get away with it?
3. Will someone actually put a stop to this crazy government and if so how will it happen?

Thursday Blog

Character Journal (Gale): I am so proud of Katniss. She volunteered for Prim to go into the Hunger Games, promised Prim she would try and win and she comes back and she's a winner. I was scared that something bad would happen to her when she volunteered but I know she was doing the right thing and I've always believed in her. But what was all the love stuff with Peeta? Does Peeta actually love her and does Katniss really love him? Or was that all for an act? I'm going to have to ask her once she has some free time. By the way, where is Katniss? I feel like i never see her anymore. I miss our Sunday hunting trips that we always used to have. It's been so hard to have those anymore because I'm always working in the mines and she is always with her prep team or in front of cameras. I miss our long talks and laughs that we had with one another. We always had so much free time just to be with one another and be ourselves. I just wish things were back to normal. I'm so sick of not seeing my best friend. But I know that she has to be gone and with her stylists and her prep team because she won the Hunger Games. But honestly I think I'm falling for Katniss and i don't know what to do about it. Should I tell her how I feel? Should I kiss her? I just don't know what to do.

Personal Journal: I feel that Katniss is in conflict with her self. Katniss has two wonderful guys that have feelings for her by her side and she doesn't know what to do about them. First of all, she has Peeta. Who has been there for her the whole entire Games and who has made Katniss look amazing infront of the Gamemakers and the cameras. Peeta has had Katniss's back through the whole Games, they were both there for one another at the end and did not kill each other. They planned to trick the Capitol and they both came out winners. And Peeta loves Katniss, he has feelings for her but Katniss doesn't know what to do about it. Then on the other hand there is Gale. Katniss's best friend who has been there with her through everything. When Katniss had no one and nothing Gale was there for her and she was there for Gale. Gale and Katniss were both in the same family situations, they were the parent of the family and had to provide for their families. They know how hard it is to do it alone that's why they were always there. And now Gale is thinking about having feelings for Katniss. Katniss is in a tough situation, either she acutally falls in love with Peeta and live with him forever to make everything right for her loved ones or she falls in love with Gale and a lot of conflicts will come up.

Wednesday Blog

Summary: With President Snow coming and threatening Katniss to make everything right in the Capitols and the districts Katniss is trying to fine someone she can trust who will understand and listen about her and President Snows talk. Cinna and the other stylists arive at Katniss's house to prepare Katniss for the Victory Tour. The thought that someone could get hurt for Katniss's actions if she doesn't do what President Snow asked her to do is constantly in the back of her mind. Katniss is able to get Haymitch alone for once without cameras to tell him of President Snows visit. Haymitch tells Katniss that she won't be able to do anything but live happily ever after with Peeta.

Interesting Quotes: "Please don't hurt Gale," I whisper. "He's just my friend. He's been my friend for years. That's all that's between us. Besides, everyone thinks we're cousins now."
I thought this quote was important because it shows Katniss's love and care that she has for Gale. She would do anything to protect him and to hear President Snow threaten him just kills Katniss.

2. Gale will find out about Katniss and Peeta and he won't be happy about it because now he is falling for Katniss.
